The Sagan

Each pair of Sagan is crafted using only the supplest and softest lamb suede from the green lush hills of Cyprus. Tanned locally and artisan-ally exclusively for us, our top-grain suede is aniline-dyed then waxed on the grain side for unmatched comfort and breathability.

Made with the very same level of attention to detail that goes into bespoke shoemaking, we hand-last each Sagan with care, communicating to them just the right amount of stretch for a unique glove-like feeling.

Because of their unlined nature and proprietary cushioned breathable insoles, the result of our extensive research and development, the Sagans are very easy to fit and can accommodate a large number of width.

The Story

The first version of the Sagan was developed for our own use in the workshop as the perfect bespoke shoemaker’s working shoes.

The then simply denominated s-loafer (“shoemaker” loafer), was designed to be comfortable enough to work in all day. Ultimately, during the process the shoe developed into a state of perfection through constant development.

It was later renamed the Sagan when increasingly more clients started commissioning bespoke pairs in every colour and materials for their summer holidays, formal events and home use in the winter.

The Sagans are still fully handmade by the very same artisans who developed them, in the same atelier in London,  - and now worn by elegant gentlemen and shoemakers alike.
